Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has urged fans to be patient in their bid to challenge Europe's elite teams.
The Ligue 1 giants once again came up short in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last night, falling to a 2-0 defeat at Barcelona to seal a 5-1 aggregate loss.
Blanc insists that PSG's time will come in Europe's premier club competition, but stressed that it takes time to build something capable of challenging the traditional powerhouses on the continent.
"Barcelona followers know the patience it takes to win the Champions League. It takes resources, but also patience," he told L'Equipe.
"The first teams qualified for the semi-finals are FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich - the elite is there, as usual.
"Paris' day will certainly come, but you must understand that it takes time."
PSG have now been eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the competition in each of the last three seasons.
