Paris Saint-Germain took on travelling Ajax in Group F of the Champions League looking for a victory to help deliver their aim of finishing top of the pile.

Laurent Blanc's side rode out some dominant possession football to claim a 3-1 win at the Parc des Princes, courtesy of goals from Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Here, Sports Mole rates all of the players involved in the action in the French capital.

Goal

Salvatore Sirigu: Didn't have much to do, but was stunned by Davy Klaassen's clinical, reaction header. (6/10)

Defence

Gregory van der Wiel: Defended well and produced some timely tackles in the first half, especially the one that saw Arkadiusz Milik's dangerous run thwarted. (7/10)

David Luiz: Much like his right-full back, Luiz defended well throughout and also did his best to get involved in the attacking action. Always willing to bring the ball out from the back and play a pass. (7/10)

Marquinhos: Settled in fine to cover for Thiago Silva. Perhaps a little compromised on his marking for Ajax's goal, but there was little that could have been done to stop it. (6/10)

Maxwell: Didn't have much chance to get forward given that Edinson Cavani was often dropping deep to the flanks, but he defended smartly and also won some dangerous free kicks in the opposing half. (7/10)

Midfield

Javier Pastore: Provided the pass to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the second goal, although he was fairly insignificant in the game. Lost possession far too much and did little to win the ball back for his team. (6/10)

Blaise Matuidi: A strange game for the usually dominant midfielder. He made some smart runs down the flank, but ultimately failed to do his job in controlling the midfield. (6/10)

Adrien Rabiot: Largely anonymous at the start of the game. However, he grew into the fixture and won the ball back for the opening goal. Also looked to produce some incisive balls from deep. (7/10)

Attack

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Quite easily Man of the Match for the hosts. Produced the killer ball for the opening goal and then wowed the audience with a standout finish of his own. Carried most of his team before his eventual substitution. (9/10)

Edinson Cavani: Almost as important as his strike partner. Showed great workmanship to try to win the ball back and also proved to be clinical when presented with both of his chances. (8/10)

Ezequiel Lavezzi: Should have opened the scoring when he fired straight at the Ajax keeper. Worked hard though and was selfless to set up Cavani for the opening goal. (7/10)

Substitutes

Lucas: Brought on to change the fixture only to fade rather quickly. Drew some fouls in the opposing half, but did little more than that. (6/10)

Lucas Digne: Hardly had much of a role to play having replaced Ibrahimovic late on. Did show some character to break into the box and almost snatch a fourth for his side. (6/10)

Clement Chantome: Replaced Rabiot and added fresh legs to the team. Worked hard in the centre to break up the Ajax midfield. (6/10)

Goal

Jasper Cillessen: Controlled his box well and marshalled his two young centre-backs. Also made a great save to deny Ezequiel Lavezzi. (7/10)

Defence

Ricardo van Rhijn: Worked hard to get down the flank when possible, although he failed to do much with the ball when he got it out wide. (6/10)

Mike van der Hoorn: A tough night for one half of the youthful centre-back pairing. Didn't do much wrong and was eventually shown up by the class of the opposition. (6/10)

Stefano Denswil: Again, like Van der Hoorn, played rather well, though you can't help but think that had a more experienced player been at the back, the midfielders in front might have been a little less sloppy in possession for the goals. (6/10)

Nicolai Boilesen: Hardly had time to register an impact on the game given that he was taken off through injury after just 10 minutes. (6/10)

Midfield

Davy Klaassen: Great finish for the goal and looked to break forward when required. Was hampered a little by the attacking approach of some of his midfielders. (7/10)

Thulani Serero: Largely ineffectual and only really contributed to his side moving sideways in the middle. (6/10)

Lucas Andersen: Perhaps a little too neat with his passing and could have tried to push his side forward with some more industrial moves. Was easily nullified by the time he sought to get past Luiz and Marquinhos. (6/10)

Ricardo Kishna: The youngster was arguably the standout player for the visitors. Fantastic skill and pace accompanied by a smart head when going forward. Produced a telling ball to create his side's goal. (7/10)

Lasse Schone: Went into the fixture under the guise of potential match-winner, but the midfielder failed to show the attacking promise and guile displayed in the reverse of this fixture. (6/10)

Attack

Arkadiusz Milik: Failed to offer much to his midfield and didn't hold up the ball when required. His favoured tactic was the run in behind, only for PSG to suss this out with ease. (6/10)

Substitutes

Niki Zimling: A real horror night for the Danish international. He'll want to forget the awful mistake that led to PSG's final goal. (4/10)

Nick Viergever: Introduced early in the fixture and had the tough task of defending against a troublesome Parisian attack. Battled hard, but wasn't enough to keep the French side out. (6/10)
