How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Rennes

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up in the Coupe de France final against Rennes.

Paris Saint-Germain will go in search of their 13th Coupe de France title when they face Rennes at the Stade de France on Saturday night.

PSG have already secured the 2018-19 Ligue 1 title, but will be desperate to add another domestic trophy to their collection in this weekend's showpiece final.

It is a competition that the Paris giants have won in each of the last four seasons, and there is no question that they will be the favourites to overcome Rennes and make it a domestic double this term.

PSG will enter the match off the back of a 3-1 win over Monaco last weekend, while Rennes - 11th in Ligue 1 - lost 3-2 at Dijon in their last fixture on April 19.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how PSG could line up in the final.

Doubtful: Thomas Meunier (knee), Thiago Silva (knock)

Neymar and Edinson Cavani both made their returns from injury against Monaco last weekend.

Indeed, the former appeared as a half-time substitute after recovering from a broken foot, while Cavani played the final 15 minutes after overcoming the hip problem which has seen him miss a lot of football.

The absences of Neymar and Cavani certainly hurt PSG's Champions League bid, but the pair are back for the Coupe de France final and seem likely to join the outstanding Kylian Mbappe in the final third of the field.

Angel di Maria was on the bench against Monaco, meanwhile, and is also likely to make his return in some capacity, with Julian Draxler also recovering from a hamstring problem in time for the final.

As a result, Thomas Meunier and Thiago Silva are PSG's only doubts this weekend, meaning that head coach Thomas Tuchel will be able to select an XI much closer to his strongest.

Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes, meanwhile, should both keep their positions in the side.
