David Luiz headed in an early goal to send Paris Saint-Germain into the break one goal up against Monaco in the Coupe de France quarter-finals.
PSG flew out of the blocks and Luiz grabbed the first goal just three minutes into the game, heading the ball home after Monaco failed to clear their lines from a corner.
Alain Traore then came close for the visitors after whipping in a free kick, beating Nicolas Douchez but not the right-hand post.
Both teams then sat back and it became a midfield battle. Luiz and Adrien Rabiot received yellows for PSG, while Matheus Carvalho, Jeremy Toulalan, and Abdou Diallo were the offenders for Monaco.
Traore continued to test the PSG defence from distance but to no avail, as the home side went into the break 1-0 up.
