Blaise Matuidi has insisted that Paris Saint-Germain have been unfairly treated by their critics after they progressed to the semi-finals of the Coupe de France.
The 2-0 victory over Monaco in the last eight of the competition means that Laurent Blanc's side are still competing for success in four competitions, and Matuidi is unable to understand why the squad have been criticised.
"We controlled our opponents and this win was well deserved," the 27-year-old told France 3 after the victory. "The score could have been even more emphatic.
"We're playing better. We're still challenging on all fronts. Contrary to what some people might say, it's still a great season, no?"
PSG, who currently sit one point behind Ligue 1 leaders Lyon, are already through to the final of the Coupe de la Ligue and meet Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie next week.
