Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has hailed his side's first win of the season as an important step in the right direction.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a brace as PSG earned their first victory of the campaign against Lille.
Ancelotti said that the 2-1 result was a marked improvement on their previous three Ligue 1 fixtures.
He told France Football: "This is an important victory, we won against a strong team. We played faster, with a very good start to the game. After scoring, it was easier to have control.
"There was good defensive organisation, a good attitude, a good game in attack and we saw the fantastic ability of Ibrahimovic."
PSG go in search of their first home win of 2012-13 against Toulouse in their next match on Friday, September 14.
