Former France goalkeeper Fabien Barthez is reportedly in line to join Paris Saint-Germain as a member of their coaching staff.
The ex-Manchester United and Marseille stopper worked alongside PSG manager Laurent Blanc for Les Bleus during their playing days, where Blanc would kiss the bald head of Barthez for good luck before every game.
During his time in charge of the French national team, Blanc employed his old teammate as a consultant specialist for his three custodians.
According to France Football, Blanc is ready to repeat his actions of the past and bring Barthez to Parc des Princes in the same capacity to work alongside full-time goalkeeping coach Nicolas Dehon in helping develop all of the club's stoppers.
Barthez's appointment could be made official during PSG's winter break tour of Qatar, with some reports suggesting that he may receive sponsorship from the club's wealthy Qatari owners to pursue his motorsport career.
