Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has said that his team tried too hard in their first Ligue 1 match against Montpellier HSC.
The French champions drew 1-1 at the Stade de la Mosson on Friday.
"We would have hoped for a better result, but PSG had too little of the game in the first half for my taste," Blanc told reporters.
"There was a lack of simplicity, with doubtlessly too much of a desire to touch the ball. We tried complicated things against a well-grouped Montpellier team."
Les Parisiens will entertain Ajaccio in their second game of the season.
