New Paris Saint-Germain attacker Angel di Maria hails the potential of teammate Marco Verratti.

Angel di Maria has said that Paris Saint-Germain teammate Marco Verratti has the potential to "go very far" in his career.

Verratti, 22, joined PSG from Pescara in 2012 and is already fast closing in on 100 league appearances for the French champions.

The midfielder's performances in the Champions League last season drew a host of praise and now Di Maria has had his say on the Italian's potential.

"He is also is an awesome player. In addition, he is still very young and can go very far," Di Maria told Le Parisien.

Di Maria, who joined PSG from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, has also praised the qualities of Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
