Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Lionel Messi could make his debut for the club in Friday's Ligue 1 clash with Brest.
The Argentina international was not involved in the 4-2 win over Strasbourg on Sunday, having linked up with his new teammates late following the Copa America.
However, the 34-year-old could potentially take to the field for the league fixture against Brest, with Pochettino revealing that the attacker would be assessed before a final decision is made.
"We haven't decided the squad yet," Pochettino told reporters. "We will assess whether Messi can be a part of it. Everything is positive. There is a good atmosphere in the squad and he has settled in well and quickly. There is a very good feeling."
Messi was unable to sign a new contract with Barcelona this summer due to the club's financial problems, and PSG moved quickly to sign the forward to a lucrative deal.
Kylian Mbappe continues to be linked with a move away from the French giants, but it is seemingly unlikely that the France international will depart before the transfer window closes.
