Two goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic have led Paris Saint-Germain to a 5-1 victory over Lyon tonight.
Ibrahimovic opened the scoring just seven minutes into the contest when his shot from the right side of the penalty area nestled into the back of the net.
The lead was doubled with the next attack when Serge Aurier headed in from close range after Angel di Maria's corner.
Rafael attempted to get Lyon back into the game in the 19th minute but Kevin Trapp was equal to his effort.
Lyon did pull one back in the 24th minute when Jordan Ferri's shot found the bottom left corner from 20 yards.
Clement Grenier had a chance to equalise a few minutes later but his long-range shot from a free kick went over the crossbar.
Claudio Beauvue was next to have a go for Lyon but his shot went past the right post before Di Maria's shot was stopped at the other end.
David Luiz missed the target in the 55th minute after rising highest to meet a Di Maria corner but PSG did score their third six minutes later.
Yet again, Di Maria was the provider, this time for Edinson Cavani, who sent the ball into the bottom right corner.
It did not take long for a fourth goal to come when Ibrahimovic drew a foul in the penalty area from Henri Bedimo. The striker stepped up to send the spot kick into the bottom left corner.
Lucas Moura rounded off the scoring in stoppage time when his shot hit the roof of the net after a counter-attack.
