David Beckham has released a statement denying French reports that he has signed for Paris-Saint Germain.
A story on the front page of French newspaper Le Parisien to be published on Wednesday claimed that Beckham had signed an 18-month contract to represent PSG and would be paid €800,000 a month.
However, a spokesperson for the former England captain has strenuously denied that the move has taken place.
"No agreement with any football club has been reached. Any talk of a deal is premature. David is presently considering his options," the spokesperson told AFP.
A seperate source close to Beckham indicated that the 36-year-old may still choose to sign a new contract with current club Los Angeles Galaxy.
Beckham claimed the MLS Championship with Galaxy last season but his current deal expires this montth.
