Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has admitted that Mamadou Sakho is desperate to leave the club this month in search of regular first-team football.
Sakho has struggled to nail down a starting role at PSG under both Carlo Ancelotti and Blanc, with Thiago Silva and Alex preferred in central defence.
With Liverpool and AC Milan waiting for an update, Blanc has conceded that Sakho is likely to leave the club if an agreement can be reached before the transfer window closes.
He told reporters: "It is true that Mamadou expressed his desire to find a new club.
"The position of the club is clear. Until September 2, the situation will evolve. There will be time to find a solution that suits both parties."
The 23-year-old has made just under 200 appearances for PSG since 2007, while also establishing himself as a regular for the French national side.
