Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has denied asking to leave the club following Sunday's 1-0 victory over rivals Marseille.
The France international was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the most recent transfer window, but he opted to sign a new three-year deal with PSG until 2025.
While speculation over a potential departure looked to have ended, a recent report suggested that Mbappe was hoping to leave the club in January.
PSG's sporting director Luis Campos and head coach Christophe Galtier have both denied the exit rumours, and following Sunday's Le Classique meeting with Marseille, the player himself commented on the speculation.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe told RMC Sport: "I have not asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January. I'm not furious with the club, it's not true."
Mbappe, who has scored 12 goals in 14 appearances this season, provided an assist for Neymar's winner against Marseille, and he is expected be involved when PSG face Ajaccio in Ligue 1 on Friday. body check tags ::
