Paris Saint-Germain left Brazilian forward Neymar out of their squad to face Toulouse yesterday as discussions about his future continue.
The 27-year-old handed in a transfer request in July and has since been the subject of repeated interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel had indicated that the former Santos star might have had a role to play in the club's third Ligue 1 game of the season after taking part in training with his teammates, but only if his transfer situation had been resolved.
Tuchel said: "Neymar is in better condition, he's getting fitter and fitter. He trained with a lot of intensity and quality this week.
"But the case between him and the club is the same every day: if the situation of his future with the club is not clear, he won't play. But maybe it will be clear tomorrow, and he will play."
Despite a missed penalty from Angel Di Maria, the French champions responded from last week's shock defeat to Rennes to beat Toulouse 4-0 at the Parc des Princes.
