Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has rejected claims that the club have placed a bid for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The Frenchman, who has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, is thought to have been the subject of an offer from the Ligue 1 champions.
Despite admitting the club's admiration for the 27-year-old, Al-Khelaifi is adamant that PSG have not tried to sign Cabaye.
"Cabaye? He is a great player and I know Laurent Blanc likes him, but we didn't make any offer to Newcastle," Al-Khelaifi told reporters.
Cabaye is yet to appear for Newcastle so far this season.
