Paris Saint-Germain reportedly enquired about the availability of West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini at the end of the January transfer window.
The French giants, now managed by former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino, had been forced to admit defeat in his efforts to sign Dele Alli on deadline day.
However, according to Football Insider, Pochettino quickly moved for Lanzini as he bid to strengthen his creative options at Parc des Princes.
The 27-year-old has been restricted to just two starts and nine substitutes appearances in the Premier League since the start of September.
Nevertheless, the report claims that David Moyes would not contemplate parting ways with the Argentine before the end of the season.
Lanzini still has just under two-and-a-half years left on his contract at the London Stadium.
