A report claims that Paris Saint-Germain want Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the French outfit.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a big-money move for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.

The French champions are expected to be in the market for a new striker this summer as record goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic prepares to depart on a free transfer.

Edinson Cavani now looks likely to remain in Paris, and according to Le Parisien, Higuain could join his fellow South American at the Ligue 1 outfit.

Higuain, who has also been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, set a new Serie A goal record during the 2015-16 campaign by hitting 36 for Napoli.

It has previously been reported that Napoli value the 28-year-old upwards of £70m.
