Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been knocked back in their attempts to sign PSV Eindhoven midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum this summer.
The Netherlands international is generally seen as an attacking midfielder, but thrived in a defensive position for his country at this summer's World Cup.
According to De Telegraaf, his performances in Brazil drew strong interest from PSG, who launched an official offer.
PSV failed to entertain the interest, however, and are reportedly unprepared to sell.
Wijnaldum recently signed a new long-term deal with PSV.
