Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Georgia international international has established himself as one of the best wingers in Europe during his time at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
After helping Napoli win the Serie A title in 2022-23, Kvaratskhelia has been a regular feature in the club's latest Scudetto bid.
Kvaratskhelia has started 15 of his 17 league appearances this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists for Antonio Conte's side.
While he has helped Napoli move to the top of the table, there is currently some doubt as to whether Kvaratskhelia will remain with the club for the second half of their title pursuit.
Man United, Liverpool to rival PSG for Kvaratskhelia
Kvaratskhelia is believed to be open to a potential departure, having failed to make progress in talks over extending his contract with Napoli beyond the end of his current deal in 2027.
According to L'Equipe, PSG are in regular contact over a potential deal to bring the Georgian winger to the French capital.
However, the report claims that the Ligue 1 champions are facing competition from Man United, who could use Marcus Rashford in a potential swap proposal.
Rashford is expected to leave Old Trafford this winter and has been linked with a number of potential suitors, including AC Milan, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and West Ham United.
Meanwhile, The Athletic are reporting that Liverpool could join the race to sign Kvaratskhelia if it becomes apparent that the winger will leave Napoli in the winter transfer window.
The Premier League leaders are keeping tabs on the situation, but they may have to sanction a 'significant departure' if they are to step up their interest.
Are PSG in pole position?
While Man United and Liverpool may be admirers of Kvaratskhelia, they may have their work cut out to surpass PSG in the race to secure the attacker's signature.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, PSG are currently in 'direct negotiations' with Napoli over a possible deal to bring Kvaratskhelia to the Parc des Princes.
PSG are also in discussions with the player's representatives over personal terms, with the French club willing to quadruple his Napoli salary.
However, PSG will have to splash the cash to complete the transfer because Napoli are continuing to remain firm on their €80m (£67m) asking price. body check tags ::
