PSV Eindhoven extended their lead at the top of Eredivisie to five points with a straightforward 3-0 win over AZ at the Philips Stadion this evening.
The points were wrapped up before the break as Adam Maher scored twice to add to Luciano Narsingh's opener.
AZ were previously unbeaten in three matches and held out for 20 minutes before Narsingh latched onto a fine Jetro Willems pass to net his third goal of the season and prompt PSV's period of dominance.
It took Maher just nine minutes to increase the home side's lead with a close-range finish, and the midfielder took his tally for the campaign to five with an impressive solo goal prior to half time.
A PSV side who were without Netherlands internationals Memphis Depay and Georgino Wijnaldum cruised through the second half as AZ managed just one shot on target.
