PSV Eindhoven have moved into second place for the time being after a comfortable victory at home to FC Utrecht.
The champions were ahead inside two minutes at the Philips Stadion when Mexican full-back Hector Moreno beat Robbin Ruiter, after being teed up by Andres Guardado.
Utrecht levelled the scores just after half time when Bart Ramselaar netted for Erik ten Hag's men.
PSV managed to retake the lead on 52 minutes when Gaston Pereiro played in Santiago Arias before the Colombian defender slotted home the hosts' second of the afternoon.
Just after the hour mark, Eindhoven were awarded a penalty, but striker Luuk de Jong was unable to beat Ruiter, who managed to get down and tip his effort away.
However, the Dutch international forward atoned for his missed spot kick when he scored PSV's third, after good work from Jurgen Locadia in the build-up.
The home side could have had a fourth in the dying stages when Pereiro's deft chip left Ruiter beaten, only to strike the crossbar, but PSV held on to move one point ahead of Feyenoord, who play Ajax later on Sunday afternoon.
