PSV Eindhoven have secured an emphatic 3-0 win over a hapless AZ side in Sunday's Eredivisie clash at the Philips Stadion, with all three goals for Phillip Cocu's charges coming in the first half.
The hosts took the lead just three minutes after kickoff when a corner was met by Jeffrey Bruma, whose shot came off opposition goalkeeper Derrick Luckassen and bobbled into the net.
By the quarter-hour mark PSV were well on their way after Joshua Brenet charged inside the box and sent a ball into the path of Luuk de Jong, who nodded home to double his side's advantage.
The game was as good as over in the 42nd minute, with Gaston Pereiro setting up De Jong for the latter's second goal and PSV's third.
Luckassen then compounded his own torrid afternoon by lashing out at De Jong on the hour mark and receiving a straight red for his troubles as the hosts saw the rest of the game out and cruised to all three points.
