Queens Park Rangers defender Nedum Onuoha has praised his 'experienced' side for winning promotion at the first time of asking in the Championship playoff final at Wembley, despite doing it "the hard way" against Derby County.
Bobby Zamora's goal right at the death ensured that Harry Redknapp's outfit, down to 10 men after Gary O'Neil's sending-off, would be back in the English top flight after relegation last season.
The former Manchester City player told BBC Sport: "I am absolutely delighted.
"With the amount of experience we have in this side, even in adversity we have a second game plan. To get the result feels fantastic.
"We must love to do things the hard way but it means twice as much now."
The London outfit finished the regular season in fourth place.
