QPR midfielder Junior Hoilett insists that the whole club is desperate to do all that they can to avoid relegation this season.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Junior Hoilett has revealed that the whole club is desperate to avoid relegation this season.

QPR currently sit seven points adrift of safety with just eight games remaining following a 3-2 defeat at the hands of fellow relegation candidates Aston Villa in their last outing.

However, Hoilett believes that the team's togetherness could help them stave off the threat of the drop, and urged the club's fans to help by getting behind the side.

"It was definitely a disappointing result against Aston Villa but the team is so together as a group. You can see in training today how together we are. We're all training hard, working hard and encouraging each other. We are desperate to get the wins we need to pull this off," said the 22-year-old.

"Fans talk about what's needed, and we're the same. Even in the hotels before we leave for games, we talk about what we've got to do. We've all got a big part to play in this fight for survival.

"And the fans have a big part to play in it as well. They are key. If they can keep roaring us on and cheering us on, they can give us the extra bit of confidence we might need."

QPR will have to wait until next Monday for their next league match as they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.
