Joey Barton is being targeted for a move to Queens Park Rangers, according to the Daily Mail today.
The controversial Magpies winger, 28, has been transfer listed since the start of the month and has also been linked with Stoke, Everton and Spurs.
The 'paper reports that Hoops boss Neil Warnock is keen to make as many as five signings this week - and Barton is toward the top of the list.
Other targets for Warnock include Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard, Barton's teammate Danny Simpson, Spurs striker Peter Crouch and Hamburg defender Guy Demel, as well as Man City's Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nedum Onuoham.
QPR managed a 1-0 away win at Everton on Saturday.
