Queens Park Rangers have reportedly offered a contract to Rio Ferdinand, who is a free agent after being released by Manchester United at the end of the season.
According to the Daily Mail, the ex-England defender is keen on a move to London and is also looking to continue his career in the Premier League.
R's boss Harry Redknapp is said to be happy to offer Ferdinand a one-year deal, and the 2008 European Cup winner could pocket around £80,000 a week, should he agree to move to Loftus Road.
The former United captain is also thought to have had offers from Aston Villa, along with clubs in Turkey and the MLS.
Meanwhile, QPR will also reportedly look to bolster their backline with a £4m bid for Swansea City captain Ashley Williams.
