Queens Park Rangers have reportedly rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for striker Jamie Mackie.
The club turned down their Championship rivals' offer because it did not meet their valuation of the player, according to PA.
Mackie is believed to be surplus to requirements at QPR, with the club on the brink of signing Gary Hooper from Celtic and weighing up potential swoops for Andros Townsend and Charlie Austin.
Forest manager Billy Davies attempted to sign the forward during his first spell in charge at the City Ground back when Mackie played for Plymouth Argyle.
Mackie has scored 18 goals in 85 appearances for QPR and was instrumental in the club's promotion to the Premier League in 2011.
