Real Sociedad have announced that they have signed Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.
The 26-year-old has been repeatedly linked with a move to La Real in recent days, but West London neighbours Fulham were understood to have tried to hijack the move at the last minute.
However, the former Spain Under-21 international has now completed his return to Spain following QPR's demotion to the Championship last season.
It is believed that the player, who reportedly agreed to a pay cut to secure his move to the Anoeta Stadium, is to arrive as a short-term replacement for Asier Illarramendi, who joined Real Madrid earlier this summer.
Granero made 27 appearances for QPR and netted once throughout his year-long stay in the English capital.
