Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has refuted suggestions that he will bring Stoke City forward Peter Crouch to Loftus Road in January.
The former England striker has failed to nail down a regular starting place under Mark Hughes this season, prompting rumours that a reunion with Redknapp is on the cards.
However, the 67-year-old, who has previously signed Crouch for both Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur, says that linking up with him again is "not possible".
"Mark Hughes is saying that they are looking to give him a new contract," the QPR boss told reporters. "He belongs to Stoke. He's a good player, but he's not possible to get. That's not a goer."
The 33-year-old is out of contract with the Potters in the summer.
