Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed his interest in signing Fulham defender Brede Hangeland this month.
The 65-year-old is keen to add a centre-back to his squad to replace Ryan Nelsen, who will leave to manage Toronto FC at the end of February.
"I like him but I think it'll be difficult to get him," ESPN quotes him as saying.
"He's at Fulham but I like him as a central defender for sure. Ryan's going. It leaves us... he's a real leader for us, Ryan Nelsen, a big miss for us.
"If the players can help this squad, I'll change a few around if I can. But, if I can't find the ones that I think will make a bit of difference, I won't bother."
QPR are currently at the foot of the Premier League table with 14 points from 22 matches.
