Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has said that he is confident Gary Hooper will be successful at the club.
The Celtic striker is on the brink of joining the London outfit after the two teams agreed a fee believed to be in the region of £5m.
"It looks like it's on its way to being done," Redknapp told BBC Sport. "Negotiations have gone well.
"He's a finisher. He'll score goals in the Championship; I'm absolutely certain of that."
The QPR boss went on to say that Hooper's goalscoring ability could help fire the club back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
"If he can come here and get 25 goals next season, then we will have a real chance of getting out of the division," he added. "I think Gary is capable of reaching that sort of target.
"We're going to need two strikers and I think they are going to have to weigh in with 50 goals."
Hooper found the net 31 times for the Scottish champions last season.
