Queens Park Rangers will reportedly try to convince former Blackburn Rovers captain Christopher Samba to come back to England.
The defender abandoned Ewood Park for Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala in January but following a difficult start to his career with the club, it is thought that the 28-year-old is keen to return to the top flight of English football.
QPR, who narrowly survived relegation this season, are understood to have targeted the centre-back but reports have claimed that Anzhi are not willing to sell Samba, according to Setanta Sports.
It is understood that QPR boss Mark Hughes has other options if a deal cannot be agreed.
