QPR boss Neil Warnock has admitted that he is looking to bring in as many as five new players in the January transfer window.
The R's have failed to win in eight league games, leaving them hovering just above the relegation zone after a promising start.
Their indifferent form has alerted Warnock, and he has insisted that he will spend in January.
"We do need three, four or five players, really. Tony Fernandes, Amit Bhatia and the rest of the owners have been aware for the past five, six or seven weeks where I feel we've got to strengthen for the second-half of the season to stay up and they're supporting me," Warnock told talkSPORT.
"We're not far away, we just need new faces and we've got to get them in before next Sunday."
QPR will attempt to move away from the drop zone when they face Newcastle next weekend.
