Rangers manager Ally McCoist has warned that there is a long way to go in the season, despite seeing his side move nine points clear at the top of the SPL.
The Gers' 1-0 win against Hibernian has taken them nine points ahead of second-placed Motherwell and ten points in front of rivals Celtic, although Neil Lennon's side have two games in hand.
"We now have a good gap at the top of the SPL but at this stage I don't think that is really important," McCoist told the club's official website.
"It was just important that we got a good result to keep our recent run of results going and to get another clean sheet was a bonus.
"There is miles to go but we are in a good position right now and I'm pleased with the points we have got in the league so far."
