Rangers boss Ally McCoist is delighted with his side's second-half display as they defeat Montrose 4-1 at Ibrox.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has praised his side's second-half performance following Sunday's 4-1 win over Montrose at Ibrox.

With the scores level at 1-1, Lewis MacLeod, Lee McCulloch and Robbie Crawford all netted after the break to maintain the Gers' 100% home record.

"Certainly in the second half we got a good reaction. I thought in the first half we huffed and puffed a little bit," McCoist told the club's official website.

"We just asked the lads for a reaction in the second half and I thought it was really evident that the increase in tempo and quality of passing and movement made for a vastly improved performance."

The win has pushed Rangers up to second in the Scottish Third Division table after six games.
