The administrators currently in charge of Rangers have appealed to the Scottish Football Association over the transfer embargo and fine handed to the Scottish outfit on Monday.
An independent SFA judicial panel found the Ibrox club guilty of breaching six regulations and imposed a 12-month ban on signing players, as well as additional fines totalling £160,000.
Duff & Phelps have appealed the decision, however, with spokesman Paul Clark stating: "All of us working on behalf of the club are utterly shocked and dismayed by the draconian sanctions imposed on Rangers in respect of these charges."
The administrators are hopeful of a 'rapid' appeal process.
