Rangers chairman David Somers will resign just four days before the club's extraordinary general meeting, according to reports.
It was expected that Somers would have been relieved of his duties when the future of the board is decided at Ibrox on Friday, but Sky Sports News have reported that Somers will announce his resignation tomorrow morning.
The EGM was called by shareholder Dave King, who aims to take over the running of the club from the current board. Somers has been Rangers chairman since last October.
Rangers are currently third in the Scottish Championship, 24 points behind leaders Hearts.
