Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Luis has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Rangers.
With Bruno Fernandes leaving the Portuguese outfit for Manchester United, Luis is in contention to replace his compatriot on a long-term basis.
However, according to O Jogo, Rangers are attempting to sign the 20-year-old on a loan deal until the summer.
The Portugal Under-20 international has made five starts this season, three of which have come in the Europa League.
The report suggests that Sporting boss Silas is open to the youngster gaining more experience elsewhere during the second half of the campaign.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is keen to add more options to his squad as the club look to challenge Celtic for domestic honours in the coming months.
