Rayo Vallecano coach Paco Jemez has signed a new deal that will keep him at the La Liga side until the summer of 2015.

His previous contract was due to expire this summer, but an impressive performance in which he guided Rayo to eighth in the league has prompted Rayo to tie him down for the near future.

Jemez was linked to the Malaga job earlier in the summer as talks of the new Rayo deal looked to have stalled, but the club have confirmed the news of the contract on their official website.

Rayo face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday for their last game of the season.
