RB Leipzig have reportedly identified Wigan Athletic forward Nick Powell as a potential signing for 2019.
Powell is enjoying a fine campaign with the Championship outfit, with four goals and four assists coming from 16 outings in the second tier of English football.
However, the 24-year-old's contract expires at the end of the campaign, and the former Manchester United man would not be short of offers should he become a free agent.
According to TEAMtalk, RB Leipzig are ready to hand the playmaker an opportunity to move to the Bundesliga and could look to strike a pre-contract agreement in January.
The German side have targeted young British players in the past, with Oliver Burke and Ademola Lookman both having spells at the club over the past two years.
Celtic are also said to be in the running to sign Powell, who has played in the EFL since 2015.
