Reading and Huddersfield Town are level at half time following a frantic opening at the Madejski Stadium.
Huddersfield took the lead with just four minutes on the clock courtesy of Nakhi Wells, with the striker escaping past his man before sliding the ball beyond Alex McCarthy.
Three minutes later Jobi McAnuff was pulled back in the box as he prepared to get his shot away, with the referee awarding the home side a penalty kick, which Pavel Pogrebnyak duly converted.
McCarthy was forced into action moments later to deny Adam Clayton at full stretch, before Wells came even closer to regaining his side's lead when he struck the crossbar with his shot.
