Reading manager Nigel Adkins has backed his side to win the Championship playoffs if they end the season in the top six.
Starting against league leaders Leicester City tonight, the Royals have five games of the season left.
They started the weekend in sixth place but are now down in eighth after wins for both Brighton & Hove Albion and Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Speaking ahead of tonight's game at the Madejski Stadium, Adkins told the Reading website: "What we're looking at now is a five-game season.
"It's still in our hands. I'd back us all the way in the playoff positions, but we've got to get there first.
"Everything that has happened this season, we now put to one side. We looked forward to the next game, with a desire, hunger and positivity."
If the Royals earn at least a point against already-promoted Leicester they will retake sixth place from Brighton. A win will be their first at home for seven games.
