Reading manager Nigel Adkins has hailed strikers Jamie Mackie and Simon Cox after both found the net in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Rotherham United.
Mackie fired the Royals into a 1-0 half-time lead, before Cox added two more after the break as Adkins's side bounced back from Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Blackburn Rovers.
"Hopefully, Jamie and Simon have got the bit between their teeth now. That helps as well," he told Sky Sports News.
"Jamie's been top drawer for us and he's done tonight exactly what I told him last Friday he was going to do.
"In fact, we should have scored some more goals. Their keeper's made some great saves. We created some great opportunities."
Reading sit 13th in the Championship table.
