Blackburn Rovers made it three Championship wins in a row with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Reading at Ewood Park.
Glenn Murray powered an early header against the Rovers crossbar before the home side took the lead when Rudy Gestede nodded Ben Marshall's cross beyond Adam Federici.
Jordan Rhodes nearly doubled the lead for Gary Bowyer's side, but his effort from a narrow angle on the half-hour mark was turned away by Federici.
Reading, who have never won at Ewood Park, then snatched an equaliser when Murray fired home Jordan Obita's cross from close range seconds before the break.
Marshall then tipped the tie back in Blackburn's favour when he curled a free kick round the wall and beyond the reach of Federici on 55 minutes.
Gestede netted his eighth of the season on 68 minutes when he tapped home the rebound from close range, after Rhodes had headed a Marshall cross against the post.
The victory moves Blackburn into a playoff position, while Reading fall to 15th.
