Reading manager Nigel Adkins has said that his side didn't do enough to avoid defeat following their loss to Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Igor Vetokele's first-half header secured a 1-0 win for Charlton despite Reading dominating for large periods of the game.
After the match, Adkins told reporters: "It's all about putting the ball in the net. We've had 35 crosses, 12 corners, we huffed and puffed but it wasn't enough.
"We couldn't put the ball in the net and one goal changes it.
"We had 20 shots and a lot of possession but the quality wasn't there."
The result leaves Reading 14th in the Championship table.
