Reading have confirmed that winger Royston Drenthe has left the club to join Kayseri Erciyesspor on a permanent deal.
Manager Steve Clarke confirmed earlier this month that the 27-year-old was free to leave the Championship outfit.
It has now been confirmed that Drenthe has flown out to Turkey to undergo a medical and complete all the necessary paperwork.
"Royston Drenthe is, without doubt, a talented player but sometimes, in football, transfers don't deliver what they promise," said Clarke in a statement. "That's been the case for Royston at Reading FC so it's best for both parties that he moves on and we wish him well for the future."
Drenthe joined the Royals in 2013, and spent the first half of this season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, where he scored once.
