Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti believes that tonight's 3-0 win away to Liverpool in the Champions League represents his side's best performance of the season.
The Reds could not live with their Spanish counterparts in the first half as goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and a Karim Benzema brace effectively ended the contest at the break.
The reigning European champions then closed the game out in the second half, and when asked if he thought that it was their finest display so far, Ancelotti told Sky Sports News: "I think so, also because of the difficulty of the opposing team.
"In the first half we were fantastic and then in the second half we had good control of the game and the result.
"It is difficult to say [what pleased me most]. I don't have to say anything to the players because they played really well, with confidence."
The Blancos sit top of Group B with nine points, with Liverpool, Basel and Ludogorets Razgrad in a three-way tie for second on three points.
