Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has paid tribute to Karim Benzema following his performance in the 1-0 victory over Liverpool on Tuesday evening.
The French striker scored the only goal of the game to give the defending champions all three points, and Ancelotti admits that he was delighted with his contribution in the Spanish capital.
"Since I've been at Madrid, this is the best moment for Benzema," the Italian told reporters. "I really like what he brings to the team and how he works."
Ancelotti also singled out Gareth Bale for praise after the Welsh winger returned from injury as a substitute in the second half.
"Substitute Gareth Bale did well too. He's ready to play more games," he added.
Real return to action against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday evening.
