Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has admitted that his team need to get to grips with Cristiano Ronaldo if they are to secure a positive result against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Ronaldo, 30, became Real's all-time leading scorer at the weekend and has already netted five times in the Champions League this season.
Blanc has said that the hosts will need to deal with "one of the two aliens of planet football" as well as speaking about his team's approach to the Group A match.
"He's one of the two aliens of planet football. He's good in every area. We have to make sure he has few touches of the ball. We have to keep an eye on him," Blanc told reporters.
"People know our style of play. We like to have the ball. Real are quite defensive but they are very effective. These are two different philosophies that will now meet.
"If they want to give us the ball, we'll take it with pleasure. We meet a European giant tomorrow, but it won't be a decisive match. The decisive matches will come later, I hope. PSG are not yet a European giant, but we have the quality and motivation to win."
PSG, who have won their last five games in all competitions, have won two of their previous four European matches against Real Madrid.
